These morning sessions are designed for those children that love the water, being in nature and exploring outside. (As well as paddleboarding, we will spend some time out the water completing bushcraft skills or den building.)

Each morning we'll meet at The Stables, Kirkintilloch and complete a variety of activities out on the water. (If the wind is up we may meet at Cadder Wharf, just one mile up the road.)

Everyday is different so we can keep your children engaged throughout their mornings. We like the sessions to be as child led as possible so create a plan at the start of each morning.

At the end we always have icecream together. Who doesn't love icecream? (This can be substituted if you really don't like it.)

(If you can't make the full week please get in touch and we'll see what we can do to accommodate your child on our week of canp.)

What is paddleboarding and why should we do this?

Paddleboarding is a water sport that involves standing on a board and propelling oneself using a paddle. It is a fun and exciting activity that people of all ages can engage in. Paddleboarding has become increasingly popular in recent years due to its numerous health benefits. Children, in particular, can benefit greatly from learning to paddleboard. Paddleboarding is not only a fun activity but also a challenging one that helps to improve children's physical health and cognitive development.

Paddleboarding is an excellent way to improve a child's physical health. Paddleboarding requires the use of all the major muscle groups in the body, including the arms, chest, back, core, and legs. It is an excellent cardiovascular workout that helps to strengthen the heart and lungs. Paddleboarding also helps to improve balance and coordination, which are essential for overall physical health.

Paddleboarding is also beneficial to children's cognitive development. It requires mental focus and concentration, which helps to improve attention span and memory. Children who regularly engage in paddleboarding are more likely to develop problem-solving skills and enhance their spatial awareness. Paddleboarding also helps to boost creativity, as it gives children an opportunity to explore and experience the natural world.

Paddleboarding has been shown to have positive effects on children's emotional wellbeing. It is a fun and enjoyable activity that helps to reduce stress and anxiety. Children who regularly engage in paddleboarding are more likely to develop a positive outlook on life and have increased self-esteem. Paddleboarding also helps to foster social skills, as it allows children to interact with others in a non-competitive and supportive environment.
