The Italo Ferreira – Air – has a nice wide deck providing ample rail control, making really deep carves possible. (you can almost make the rails touch the ground).
 
With super deep carves, the shorter wheelbase creates a solid balance of stability and performance but with quicker rail to rail transitions being turn shortest wheelbase, this also makes it turn slightly tighter than longer wheelbases.

The SwellTech trucks are designed to mimic the movement of a surfboard by having a completely free motion front truck, with a more rigid standard truck in the rear. The free motion front truck mimics the unlimited movement of a surfboard -pump for speed and turn in any direction- while the rear truck acts as a stabilizing pivot point, like the fins in a surfboard.
 
Designed by Italo Ferreira himself, the Italo Pro Air is a more compact setup with a smaller wheelbase at 20.5 inches. This shorter wheelbase allows for the quickest pumping and sharpest turning of our decks. This deck is recommended to a smaller to medium sized rider, or someone who is looking for a very advanced shortboard feel. The photo features Italo boosting a massive air at Jeffries Bay.
